golf, teeth, graduate degree

I'm betting that most people could figure out who "graduate degree" is talking about. But I'd also bet you'd be wrong about who golf and teeth are about. If you guessed graduate degree for Sarah, 1 point. If you guessed teeth for Caden, you are logical, but in this case score no points. So by process of elimination, if you guessed golf for Doug, you also be logical, but totally wrong.

I, Sarah, am 8 days from receiving my masters degree in Instructional Design and Technology from Emporia State University. I am more than eager for this part of my life to be over. I'm tired of being a student and need a break for awhile.

Doug is snoring peacefully, although loudly, thanks in part to the sedative he got to take today to relax him before the dreaded 2nd half of his treatment for periodontal disease. It went well, but he was in more pain today than the first time and also had more bleeding. The hygienists were nice to him and one even called him handsome which caused a huge swelling of his ego!

Caden, or as Doug lovingly refers to him, TWJ (Tiger Woods junior) had a blast this afternoon while Mommy and Daddy waited agonizingly in the periodondist's office, (though for everyone, but Doug, I'll admit I was rather excited about the visit because I got about 90 minutes of uninterrupted reading time . . . for you Doug, it was pure agony for me as much as it was for you! I swear!) because he got to spend the afternoon golfing with Truck Papa (Doug's dad) and Uncle Tim (Doug's brother) and even got to help Truck Grandma (logically, Doug's mom) drive a golf cart. There is no other way to put it . . .our son LOVES golf!! He even sits perfectly still to watch golf on TV. He wants to hold golf balls, and tee golfs as he calls them, and he talks a fair amount about his clubs. He does actually own a real club and 2 sets of plastic ones. Perhaps TWJ is apprapro after all and I just thought Doug was projecting his dreams on to our young son. Oh well! Now I'll agree to all this golf business as long as it pays his way through Harvard, or Yale, or Princeton, or Berkely, or Cornell, or MIT, or at least KU!
