bowling #2

okay, another warning . . .this too is a catch-up post from Spring Break.

Caden and I had so much fun bowling with our friends that we decided to take Daddy on Friday night of Spring Break. It was so much fun because they were getting ready for Cosmic Bowling and they turned on all the lights on the lanes and the disco balls and music. Daddy bowled pretty well, but Caden and I must have been tired from the day before because we didn't bowl as well as we had on Thursday. Daddy got lots of strikes and spares (we had bumpers!) and Caden was really excited because a Jonas Brothers song (see post about Jonas Bros. invasion) came on the radio. He was convinced the woman behind the counter played it just for him. Doug and I decided this was a fun, inexpensive way to spend an evening of family fun! We will consider having Caden jointhe kids' bowling league in the fall, so he can join a fun activity with other kids his age.

bowling #1

okay, fair warning . . .this is catch-up post form almost a month ago, over Spring Break.

On the Thursday of Spring Break we ate lunch at Applebee's with our friends, Christie and Brock. After lunch Christie, our boys, and I met our other friend Melissa and her kids, Jeb and Maggie to go bowling. The 4 kids (aged 4-7) had a good time bowling and all did fairly well. Jeb and Maggie do league bowling, so they were pretty good. Caden really enjoyed himself and loved watching for people to get spares and strikes.

We had a lot of fun bowling and hanging out with our kids and mommy friends!
Thanks Melissa, Jeb, Maggie, Christie, and Brock for a great afternoon of bowling and fun with friends!
